The unintended expat blogger behind Anci Tozale

Hello, I am Noah
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A couple of years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Netherlands wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should have.
The Adjustment Period
There was cultural shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Anci Tozale
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level travel content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Netherlands.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Netherlands
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever there is a genuine change
This site isn't:
- Not a government tourism resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Moving Forward
Our stay in Netherlands continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Amsterdam or anywhere in Netherlands, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Noah
